Jailbreak The Apple Tv 2 With Seas0npass For Mac
To re-write what I wrote (in english this time) - I'm not able to find the location of the custom IPSW when browsing with itunes's open 'file locator' window, due to the fact that one of the folders is hidden (and iTune's lile locator can't seem to view hidden folders??) - I am however able to find it with the regular finder in this location: -.homefolder./Library/Application Support/Seas0nPass/Firmware - From here, I copy the file, paste it on my desktop, and then point itunes to my desktop in attempts to JB my pos atv2. I'm running iOS 5.1.1 btw (52xx) firmware, itunes 11.0 and Seas0nPass 0.8.8. I'm not able to find the location of the file when browsing with itunes's open 'finder' do to one of the folders being hidden (not just not appearing through iTunes when manually looking for the file) I am how ever able to find it with the regular finder in this location:.homefolder./Library/Application Support/Seas0nPass/Firmware from here, I copy the file, paste it on my desktop, and then point itunes to my desktop in attempts to JB my pos atv2 I'm running iOS 5.1.1 btw (52xx) firmware itunes 11.0 and SP 0.8.8.
I had done the 'Boot Tethered ' from the SeasonOnPass twice after I successfully jailbreak my device. I did receive the successful info said disconnected your device and connect to HDMI. Do you mean I have to start from the beginning of this tutorial and do it again? If I did, it should overrite whatever I had in the apple tv now, I did not get it. Well, just read a post. Could you explain in details how did you get passed it?

Do you mean that I just jailbreak the device? Then disconnect the device, do not run the 'boot tethered ' at all? I did successfully JB ATV2. ( slander, ignore the enable ui scripting message, that does not matter ). Just keep doing it and I tried more than 10 times. The problem is this JB is tethered JB, so apple tv has to connect to the power source all the time, and even when you did not use apple tv for more than 24 hours, it will auto put into the sleep mode or whatever, did not require any power at all.
Then when you use it again, it stuck at the apple logo again. That is sucks.
All of the setting was gone, JB was gone. I guess this is a working tutorial but it is not permanent fix for ATV2.
